Jim Borges is a Business Development Executive and Co-founder of Spartans Soccer. His love for the game motivated him to become an avid supporter of the development of High School soccer in Massachusetts. “We are simply trying to make high level competitive soccer available to the masses, to ensure our kids are playing at the highest skill level possible, so that they are ready to compete in their respective high school seasons and continue their dreams of playing in college.”
Jim played four years of Division I college soccer at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia from 1988-1991, winning two conference championships and playing in two NCAA tournaments with a 9th national ranking his senior year.
He is inspired daily by his wife and their two children who both love the game with his oldest currently playing at the college level and youngest also with aspirations to play in college. In addition to attending his children’s soccer games, Jim continues to play competitive soccer on Sunday mornings, travel and enjoy life with friends and family.
